The Senior High Youth meet in several settings each month.  We meet every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 for a time to meet with friends and catch up on what is happening in our lives, play a few table games, and spend some time together in Bible study or a real life topic discussion.  On the 1^st and 3^rd Sunday’s we meet from 12:30 to 3:00 for lunch ($3 donations help cover the cost of food) and an afternoon of study or fellowship, sometimes we go off site for these events.  Our Senior High also participate in the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana Synod Sr Hi Youth Gathering in January, attend a Mission Trip Workcamp, the ELCA National Youth Gathering and do a variety of other one time events.

Junior High Youth Group, for our 7^th and 8^th graders, meets on the 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of every month, dinner is available at 5:00pm, for $3 per person; followed by team building games and fun activities, our evening ends at 7:15pm.  During the school year our Junior High youth also meet the 1^st and 3^rd Sunday evening for Lutheran Studies Classes.  We attend the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana Synod Jr Hi Youth Retreat, Youth Quake, Confirmation Camp and various other events during the year.

S.P.A.R.K.’s Youth, our upper elementary students (3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th grade) meet the second Sunday of each month (except May).  Lunch is available at 12:30 for $3 per person.  Comfortable play clothes are always recommended (skirts and sandals are not appropriate for many of our events), since we spend much of our time in a game environment; we finish at 2:30.  We also attend the Advent and Lenten Retreats held at our Briarwood Retreat Center and Church Camp.  Our Upper Elementary youth are eligible to attend church camp at Briarwood too.

But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self- control.

Our Early Elementary Youth (1^st and 2^nd graders) meet the fourth Sunday in January, March, May, July, September, and November.  Lunch is served at 12:30, please bring $2 per person to cover lunch, followed by social skill development and team building opportunities.  Youth should be picked up at 2:00.

Our Youth Advisory Board meets on the 4^th Sunday of February, April, August and October at 1:00 PM.

Our Youth and Family Ministry Committee meets on the 4^th Tuesday monthly (maybe not in December) at 7:30.

CtSLC’s youth are still collecting used cell phones and ink jet printer cartridges.  Your old cell phones are worth money to us and will be recycled or refurbished for another customer.  Ink Jet cartridges are refurbished and refilled for resale.  Let us help you take that first step to cleaning up around the house.  Just drop phones or cartridges off at the church anytime, during a service or during the week; look for the recycle box.
