Servant’s Song for March 7^th

Reminder: This Sunday and next Sunday, March 7^th & 14^th, MEET and GREET the Council Candidates at the Adult Forum at 9:45 am in the Fellowship Hall. Council Nominees will be answering questions submitted by the congregation.

There will be a planning meeting THIS SUNDAY, 3/07, for everyone interested in helping plan a Youth fundraiser. Please speak to Gene Myers or Ann Reidmiller if you are unable to attend. We will meet immediately following the late service.

AMBASSADORS: We will have a short meeting THIS SUNDAY, 3/07 at 9:45 am in the Library. ALL Ambassadors are asked to attend.

First Organ Concert THIS SUNDAY, 3/07, at 4:00 pm!

Christ the Servant’s Minister of Music, Kathy Johnson, will present the first concert in the Organ Dedication Series, showing the flexibility and numerous styles of music which our organ is capable of. All members, guests and friends of CTSLC are cordially invited to attend. A basket for free-will offering benefitting Lutheran Disaster Response Funds will be available at the door.

February Women’s Potluck a Great Success: Forty women attended last Sunday’s salad and dessert potluck luncheon. Thanks to Jennifer Miller, Pam Egner, and Cathy Brown for your planning, organization, and efforts! It was greatly appreciated by all who attended.

Meet the Council Candidates: THIS SUNDAY at the Adult Forum. Elections to fill three openings on Christ the Servant’s Church Council will be held on Sunday, March 21^st. At 9:45 am, we will have an opportunity for the congregation to interview the candidates. Nominees for the Church Council are: Mary Jane Barnes, Ed Brown, Brian Edwards, Mike Fucilla, Lennie Gunderson, Brad Johnson, Barbara Kio, and Angie Mayer.

COUNCIL ELECTIONS will be held on Sunday, March 21^st.

Sr Hi Youth will meet on Sunday nights at 7:00 pm.

The SUPPER CLUB will meet at Churchill’s English Pub, on the Square in McKinney, on Saturday, March 20^th, at 4:00 pm. No reservations needed. Come join us for good food and great conversations.

The CTSLC Property Committee is hosting a Spring Workday at the church on Saturday, March 27, 2010, 8am to Noon, coffee and donuts will be provided.  A wide variety of projects, from painting and staining to mowing and trimming, are planned, so bring your energy and enthusiasm and make our church look great for the Easter celebration the following week!!

WOMEN'S SPRING EVENT on MAY 16TH:  Women of CTSLC -- Mark your calendars!  ALL WOMEN are invited to a luncheon and wonderful social time while completing 2 service projects.  Please bring a salad or dessert and, if you are participating, a little something for your Secret Sister.  Plans are to assemble pillowcases for kids with cancer and garden baskets.

Sunday Brunch Buffet at Briarwood, THIS SUNDAY from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You are invited to Sunday Brunch Buffet at Briarwood the first Sunday of every month.  This is NOT the Sunday Brunch your parents made when you were growing up (unless, of course, they were gourmet cooks!!!).  This is a wonderful selection of great breakfast and lunch food.
